I think it’s fair to say ‘indie’ music was born in Scotland and to be precise, Orange Juice basically invented it. The guitars jangle, the vocals fey & ramshackle production abounds, as is that most important thing, the ability to write a pop song.
All allusions to Indie music, especially that wrong-headed notion of all things: 21st Century Indie, take note it all begins here.
