Long-time Prince protege, saxman Eric Leeds has had a successful career as a solo man as well. This 1993 release on Paisley Park Records (Cat#: 9 45199-2) finds the reedman blowing through 9 tunes with a South of The Border feel. Prince himself co-authored one of the tunes. Tears For Fears cohort, Roland Orzabal, offers another tune, while the album also finds Leeds exploring the work of Tom Waits on "Soldiers Things". A varied and energetic album worth a listen or three.
