An outstanding collection compiled by Rhino Records (Cat#: R2 71432) of the origins of funk which the label put together over a multi-disc collection. Featured are James Brown, Parliament, Sly & The Family Stone and many others on this edition. It comes with an extensive liner notes package that seemingly accompanies all of Rhino's releases of this format. It was a welcome educational experience. Authenticated on discogs.com
