The Buckaroos was a singles group so when more than one A-Side and B-Side are on an album, you know it's a decent one. This one is decorated with four A-Sides (Open Up Your Heart, Think of Me, Sam's Place and Waiting in Your Welfare Line) and three B-Sides (Palm of Your Hand, Heart of Glass and No More Me and You).

This was an excellent era for the band, and these songs in particular are the most accessible Buckaroos songs for listeners who aren't big fans of honky tonk and country music.

The one downfall of this LP is the diminished presence of Don Rich. There are less solos, less harmony vocals, and no lead vocals. But his compositions like You You Only You and A Devil Like Me and probably would have been more charming with his own vocal charm.

The rest of the tracks are littered with excellent guitar licks and delicious pedal steel. It's a solid LP for your non-compilation album collection.

Essential.
