Major Stars sprung from the same fertile ground as other Massachusettes legends Pixies, The Breeders and others. They play retro 70s guitar riffs with passion and fury. This 2005 release on Important Records (Cat#: imprec089) features seven tracks that highlight the three guitar line-up augmenting the female vocals of lead singer Sandra Barrett, concluding with the epic ten and a half minute title track where the guitars unleash stratospheric mayhem. Unfortunately the band never made it big, but leave this album as a testament to the annals of rock and roll. Authenticated on discogs.com
