Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.7/100, a mean average of 77.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.0.

Many people consider this album among the greatest live albums ever recorded. I do not agree with them. The record is very good and has moments of excellence, but while it may have been among the best live albums up to the time it was recorded in 1964, there are a number of live albums that have since surpassed it (Budokan, Filmore East, Leeds, Folsom Prison, Band of Gypsys, Stop Making Sense, Frampton Comes Alive, How the West Was Won, etc.).

A solid rock n' roll record. JLL plays the piano excellently and sings very well, but I've actually heard him perform better on other recordings, believe it or not. Still, this record is enjoyable for one or two listens, but it is not the monumental live album I was led to believe. 9/10!

Awesome live album, one of the best live albums I've ever heard. Hard to believe something rocked this hard in 1964.

Frenetic and awesome. I can only imagine how insane this must have seemed in mid-sixties Germany.

Love this album. Jerry Lee Lewis definitely earns his appearance fee for this performance. The energy and passion for showcasing rock'n'roll is certainly evident in this live gig.

One of the greatest and most energetic rock n roll albums I have ever heard. This is rock n roll at its finest, and deserves more recognition than it gets.

Amazing live album. Hard to believe that an album with this much energy and aggression was from back in 1964. Still sounds fresh.
