Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 48.1/100, a mean average of 47.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 47.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 23.2.

Raditude isn't well-regarded by Weezer fans. It's easy to see why; while the Weezer sounds an melodies are there, the lyrics are horribly shallow and parodic, almost as if the band decided to screw everyone over and decide to become the biggest trolls in rock history. The album is energetic and the lyrics are tongue-in-cheek, but most of the lighthearted songs just don't hit the intended marks. The opening track works very well as summer listening, but the following track, "I'm Your Daddy", describes fairly well what the rest of the album is about.

"Can't Stop Partying" is probably the least Weezer thing ever performed by the band. It's one of the first songs I ever heard from them and I remember liking it back in the day but now it just sounds wrong in every possible way. It's a taste of the more electro-pop oriented music they have been releasing in the past few years. "Love Is The Answer" is a horrible Oriental mesh of I don't know what and among the worst songs I've ever heard.

The songs that work best are those that are slightly more serious, like "Put Me Back Together" and "I Don't Want To Let You Go". There are no classics here, and most of the songs are average at best. Even River Cuomo's vocals sound like he's not even trying to be serious.

Side B is really not that bad. Side A is just tremendously awful after the opener. I Want You To is awesome, Let it All Hang Out has an incredible hook.

I'm Your Daddy - The Girl Got Hot - Can't Stop Partying - Put Me Back Together is probably the worst four-song stretch I've heard from them.

Not a doubt in my mind that this is the pinnacle of contemporary music. Nothing comes close to the absolute genius “Can’t Stop Partying” or “Girl Got Hot.” If you haven’t listened to this album do yourself a favor and put it on repeat

Weezer's other worst album along with Make Believe. Both shoot for the main stream moon in different ways. At least Make Believe had a couple great songs.

This whole album ranges from embarrassing to average. Rivers Cuomo refuses to grow up and continues to sing about teenager interests combined with creepy love desires mixed in with obvious efforts at singles to create a steaming pile of dung.

Can't Stop Partying? I'm Your Daddy? In The Mall?

I thought this was the end of Weezer. Kudos to them putting it back together to at least stay decent after this mixed bag of trash and recyclables

This is their attempt at a mainstream pop/rock record, commercial sounding and way off what we know they can do

Critics hate it, fans hate it, and Weezer themselves hate it. So why do I like it? Yes, the lyrics are cheesy as hell. And yes, Rivers does sound like a horny teenage boy who's trying to get laid. But overall, I still think this album is catchy and fun.

Best tracks: "(If You're Wondering...)", "Put Me Back Together", and "Let It All Hang Out"

Bad, bad album. "Can't Stop Partying" is most likely one of the worst songs ever. Weezer should be ashamed of themselves for making this album.

It is not a great sign for an album when the best song is the bonus track "Story of My Life"
