Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.1/100, a mean average of 77.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.6.

1. This RYM sums up my thoughts pretty well, but enjoyed it still enough to not downgrade the 3.5 I gave. Virtuoso Gipsy Kings don't have, but missing the heart they do. Nevertheless, I have my reservations about this. Firstly, there's Di Meola who has always to me been a clinical, joyless shred…

i recall that this was one of the first cd ever. the fantastic flamenco guitar playing, the somehow funny cover art and of course the highly erotic disc have left a lasting impression on me. although i don't adore cd any longer (of course) - at that time it seemed to be a door to a new age. and every time i look at the cover, it brings back exactly that feeling to me.
apart from my memories you can listen to the entire album with a good and relaxed feeling.
