Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 5% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.5/100, a mean average of 76.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.8.

It's the lovechild of Psychic Chasms and Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. Fun, energetic disco infused chillwave. Slumlord is a standout success, but the rest of the album has some flaws that hold it back from being truly brilliant.
How fun could one record be?
The dark horse album of 2015, Vega international night school climaxes into a wonderful tropical explosion. The keyboard is so well put together and the drums have a booming carribean influence.
A great retro throwback. Very synth heavy album. I'm getting some Todd Rundgren, Prince vibes for this album
Man, this makes me want to dance. And I don't like dancing, or even know how to dance. But, this just makes me want to, just a little bit.
It's so energetic.
It's a bit underrated
It's alright, but it gets rather dull during the mid-section
Brilliant. I think Palomo's actually gotten stronger and stronger as an artist and this is easily his peak. It has the fun and freakishness of Psychic Chasms combined with the hooks and haziness of Era Extrana but it's also a lot more assured than those two. The album plays as one long extended twisted performance but never gets dull even across 15 tracks. and it's somehow getting better with each listen.
Catchy as hell. News From The Sun is one of my favorite tracks of the year.
