One of music-history's true icons , in business now for over 50 years and still rockin' .
Be it electric or accustic , and even dance-oriented in the early 80's.... he shines on every level.
His late 60's - to late 70's albums rate as some of the finest of modern music - and include some of the greatest songs ever written. Try as I might, I haven't been able to 'get into' his latter offerings - but nothing can ever detract from what came before, including a very exceptional collaboration with Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Great artist he is in my top 10 of great artist because I like After the Gold Rush. One of the best singer in rock
@fischman if you don't like sad Neil or political Neil, you might like Harvest Moon. It's a very happy album full of great love songs.

@Fischman has someone hacked your account? Or is it some kind of inside joke? Because I can't believe that someone with whom I share so much can hate so much Neil Young. His voice I can understand but his lyrics? his music? You say "Lighten up and share some joy for a change." You love Moodly Blues' Nights in white satin which is full of sentences like "Another day's useless Energy spent... Lonely man cries for love and has none" Also, Young has some pretty joyful lyrics like in his hit "Rocking in the Free world"...
