Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. For an artist that wears his principles on his sleeve, I'm surprised that Moby has sold his songs to so many advertisers. First, it over-saturates the market is a tacky format. Second, some of his songs are sued to advertise products I would have thought he would disagree with. Too bad - it's affecting my perception of his music, which it shouldn't. Play is a great album.
