Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. There were so many great albums in the 70's that it's hard to limit yourself to 100. Looking at this chart reminded of some great albums I overlooked.

Pink Floyd's Dark Side and The Wall beat out by the Ramones and Genesis not even charting for Selling England and The Lamb? It's hard to take Pitchfork seriously.

It's great they chose too give recognition too funk with the addition of Sly and the familly stone and Funkadelic so high but I think the number one spot isn't really right.
