Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. As already mentioned, a unique chart and a distinctive feel to it. I like it
I like this chart a lot. There is a uniquely special feeling when you discover an artist (or 2) that flies under the radar of commercial success and hits at the heartstrings in a uniquely personal way. This chart is full of such artists/albums ¬ and well worth a deep dive rather than a cursory glance.
The Australian album in this list - Go Further Into Darkness - is well worth a listen. Of the 2 albums we have in common, this is one of them.

Holy shit what an absolutely bananas list. It goes fucking everywhere and never stops to... Impress? Like, I feel in a way that this many obscure picks would feel forced, as if it's trying too hard to be special, but in a way I also feel it's all coming from a genuine place. Nonetheless, props to you! This'll definitely be my go-to place for when I need some new stuff to listen to.
Also, amongst everything, mad respect to someone with แห่สดดนตรีพื้นบ้านหนองโก ชุดที่ 8 + 9 in their chart. I salute you.

The Year Of Hibernation!!!
This is a really cool chart, I love a lot of these artists, gotta say your hip hop picks shock me though. Lil Peep made the best hip hop album ever? But hey, its a personal list so I digress. Great choices overall
