"Giving Bad People Good Ideas" is a thrashing and pounding track filled with a haunting chorus from Clementine Creevy and a mutated guitar riff. "Hot Head" showcases Death Grip's ability to make the most of chaos. It starts sputtering, pummeling, and full of distortions and weird samples as MC Ride screams and shouts. It changes to a lower BPM sequenced synth track full of some blood-curdling lines about self-affliction and hell's existence. A lot of it sounds like futuristic machines overloading and charging up. "Spikes" is one of the catchier songs on here, with more straightforward vocal delivery and a more recognizable chorus. The percussion on this song and many others is lighting fast and precise. "Warping" is a slower, dragging, song with rattling snares and plucking keyboards. "Eh" has an pitch-bending electronica tune backing it, with MC Ride rapping about his apathy. "Bubble Buried..." is another slower track full of lyrics of loosely-associated belligerence. "Trash" has a catchy hook and sampled sounds. It features lyrics about living in a world of urban trash and feeling stagnant. "Houdini" is more electronic and chaotic ear candy featuring the violent voicings of MC Ride. "BB Poison" has a bubbling guitar beat, sharp whipping sounds, and echoing raps. "Three Bedrooms" is a headbanger with a descending rift and shaker sounds to carry the beat. "Ring a Bell" is an interesting, dramatic, and tense track. "My death IS MONEY!" 80808 showcases, in some spots, how this track and some of this record has been influenced by chillwave and other related genres. "Bottomless Pit" is the album closer and it rocks like a metal song, full of distorted guitar. It's full of paranoia, arrogance and violence, just like the rest of the album. "I'll fuck you in half." I absolutely love the way this album was advertised and released. The cryptic video with Karen Black, the gif version of the album cover, and of course, the Astralplanehotline. It all fits the postmodern agression and mystique behind Death Grips. The music is awesome as well - mean-spirited electronic experimental hip hop. [First added to this chart: 05/17/2016]
