Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. It's not often I see such a 90s-centric chart that I really like. I tend to skew a little more recent or towards the 60s/70s, but the 80s-90s selections here are top notch while still having many 00s-10s and 60s-70s stuff I like.

Godbless You! henriknaess ~ 4 Australian albums in your top 100 ~ definitely a man of taste. I also liked the inclusion of The The, Cowboy Junkies & Susanne Sundfor. We only have 6 albums in common, as far as the top 100 is concerned ~ I enjoyed traveling your best albums journey.
