The greatest David Bowie album not made by David Bowie. 9/10! (Edited)
A dark and introspective listen that also has flourishes of colour and has some very high quality sounds that are fresh to this day. The soundscape we are treated to is this gritty classic 80's synth style sound that has these flares of instrumentation which adds little tangents to the music. This makes the tracks feel grand and very in depth and makes them ahead of its time. To this day the music still sounds phenomenal as it is just so clean and it flows brilliantly which is primarily down to the production. This makes for a smooth listen for us which allows us to just sit back and enjoy his musical stylings. Lyrically, it is a joy to explore and the vocal, while limited, shines on several occasions where it is a nice contrast to the lighter moments. Overall, a very good record that gives you the classic 80's sound but with a unique twist that makes it an extremely enjoyable experience. (Edited)
