This is a sort of Best ofs, of course. Except for a few "rare" and bizarre (Coyne). The order though is not necessarily defined by quality of the music, but rather by the weight in my collection. Which means if the album is the only one by an artists it ranks higher than a best of of an artist, that I own lots of other records. So Beatles and Stones compilations are not as important as Elvis and Elvis not as important as the Monkees. Another reason for a low ranking is that a record is great but not perfect, as is the case in many compilations, e.g. the Frank Sinatra collection which misses my favorite "Circles", but does include New York, New York.
And finally, if I have more than one compilation of an artist I go for the (oldest) LP, if in doubt.

Wow. I made a Best of chart just last week because I didn't think there were any good ones, but I was wrong. There's a fuck ton of em. And I LOVE this one. Youve got so many awesome ones on here.
