Top 40 Greatest Music Albums

My chart includes only records from my personal collection, a little less than 1.200 LP’s on august 2017.
I had no interest on creating another boring list of the most important records in history of rock/pop/R&B etc. THAT YOU HAVE TO OWN. My aim was rather to create a chart of my favorite albums based more on the influence they had over me than on their “objective quality”. The hard part of it was to put them in order.
It was thought as a list of 100 records but I see that only 40 entries are allowed (at the moment); I won’t change it, these are the top 40 of the first 100.
Many of the top 30 are very classical and old records on which I formed my taste, LP that really influenced my following musical choices. In the remaining part of the chart you’ll find records that share one common denominator: they just sound great! The ranking is not that important, to be honest I haven’t thought too much about it. Enjoy.
