The Fall are my favourite band and they produced loads of great albums. There will be plenty in my charts.

This is another great Bunnymen album with a nother great sleeve. I am particularly fond of this one as this is the music they were touring with when I saw them for the first time.

I was surprised to find this in John Menzies, Arbroath. I asked the lady at the desk to let me listen to it before I bought it. Half way through the second track she took it off an started to put it away. "Nobody will buy that." I gave her my money.

I have been to the site of the road sign on the cover, even though the original was stolen by a Smiths fan soon after the album was released.

Who couldn't love the Monochrome Set?

This was Beefheart's final album and the first one I got. From there it was a wonderful journey into his world.

This album was recorded in a sheep shearing shed on an eight-track recording machine. It sounds like they had great fun making this album.

I'm 49 and this brings back great memories of John Peel. Here's a few more names that might ring a bell from the Peel show during the early to mid 80s (the golden age):
