Inspiring!!
Several good albums, not enough well known quality for me. Guns N Roses, U2, The Police, Queen and others.
I am glad other people appreciate the Associates. Really good chart. I can't wait to see the next 60.
Yeah, I decided to add several comps I just couldn't leave out (the 2 "Substance" albums, Pere Ubu's "Terminal Tower" which has the datapanik EP, and Nuggets).
Suicide's 2nd is great. It has a few lush synths à la New Order, and then there's those classic repeated electronic beats. It's less lo-fi, and has more melodies, but it's still pretty unnerving at times. Recommended for anyone who liked their debut.
Have you heard Meat Puppets' "Up on the Sun" ? I prefer it to "II".
I still need to listen to "The River" (also a Scaruffi favourite).
Oh, and I picked up Suicide's 2nd album with the first rehearsal tapes. I'll tell you about it after Ogdens' ;)
