The record which I could be easily convinced was from another world. Quite possibly one of the most inaccessible albums ever, it provides critiques of the worst parts of society underneath barrages of heavy cyber noise. After enough listens, it becomes quite catchy.

Whatever jazzy and prog-rock black hole The Mars Volta threw me into with this record, I want to stay in it. How can an album like this exist, let alone work so well? It's a beautiful enigma.

Wow. With every listen I am dragged deep into this terrifying but beautiful hellscape and I just don't want to leave. One of the highest forms of self-expression to come out in recent memory.
