Top 75 Music Albums of the 2000s

Conceptual extension - Part 6, The 2000s: "Music from the global village"

2000s (2000-09) hasn't been passed very long time. For some (certainly part of BEA's members), year 2000 (yeah, -Kid A- year!), may sound like nostalgia.I understand that some people want to "keep up with the spirit" and listen to the music of their time. It's not my way to work. I am too, focusing on the history of a person. Therefore, I can't immediately find the result of the new currents. I can see only aftermath.
Of the decade, the name "Music from the Global Village" has two meanings. First of all, information technology has reduced the world (such as this site). Second, the source of many a musical work can be just as well classical music, free jazz to world music. In addition, music is available .. everywhere! Listening to music requires / to develop media literacy. This allows pearls to find!
My list consists only the pearls. This 2000s profile, a tribute to the other, The Previous Charts.
Yes, I'm, old music lover. I also like the new stuff. The new must have something recognizable, but something - a personal touch.
This could be a completely new: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trFs_PDqSv4&feature=related

In the word "Head" is something magical. This word is found, as well as many of the famous band that, the significant name of the album.
(Portis- HEAD = almost Bristol)
Third album on the band's sound is recognizable, but still very new. Now, Geoff Barrow, Beth Gibbons and Adrian Utleyn music plays clearly multi-dimensionally, and bolder than the two previous studio album. The atmosphere becomes more intimate to the threatened again and again. The first few times listening to a point of reference is, of course, Beth Gibbons voice (I love, and fear it at the same time), a voice buried in the mass range, the range rises to the very surface. Her way of singing is the same as on the verge of tears, but still firm. The first time I heard "Third", I thought that this album is The Latest Masterpiece Of Popular Music.

When the "In Rainbows" was released, I had already learned to understand Radiohead, one of the great bands our time. This album focused a bit odd - the hype phenomenon. I didn't care. But the music rose, my CD player, a standard product. As a whole In Rainbows sounds like a really beautiful, but the eternal question, it is again, what this album is to be compared? It isn't "OK Computer", it isn't "Kid A" or "The Bends". Why Radiohead or any of the band (like the Beatles?)should do something again, something they have already done so well? I can't think of any reason, that as long as something this beautiful publication. In Rainbows settles into a fantastic Independent Component of Radiohead's Music. The title track is a pure the Book of Revelation, whose rhetoric is suitable for acoustic rhythm as the nails are nailed to the cross. Their own key to the next song, (Trent Reznor) "Hurt" is a good choice for Cash's presentation. Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" is successful interpretation of the ideal acoustic, hypnotic pace. Cash sings a straight bite.Other tracks on the album are pretty good, though a foreseeable way of hearing. But the a driving force in album is Mr. Johnny Cash, himself. If the tango is defined as conservative music, often described as such coutry music. If the old zeppelin dude and bluegrass queen doing an album together, what can you expect?..at least two Gene Clark songs.. Seemed like an unlikely pairing..but.."Raising Sand" opens with "Rich Woman", a nice combo of an upbeat, pop-flavored number with a hint of the haunting numbers to come thanks to a tenor guitar and sparse arrangement."Gone Gone Gone", - rockabilly one moment. More of a blues/country sound including "Killing The Blues","Through The Morning, Through The Night",and "Trampled Rose". Modern classic?
The engine of the project, producer T-Bone Burnett, accounted for the mix feels so strong, that his name could easily be increased this goal.

The idea of folk interpretation of the jazz language, is not new in Finland either. Album taken essentially Swedish songs, because the singer Emma heard as a child from her grandmother. Being Finnish radiates through the topics: "Kling Klang slår the klockan" for example, about the Hunger Years. Sibelius, Södergran, Taube, and other creations group has reached an original, Salokoski lyrics by trumpeter Verneri Pohjola (Pekka Pohjola's son), composed by the "Lilla Vän".Pianist Tuomo Prättälä find the paths to the same by Jan Johansson and Bill Evans walked, about fifty years ago. It may be that I found Nick Cave for having this wonderful movie:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH8VAeqyvS8 Double disc type Nick Cave seemed challenging parcel in advance, but the two 40-minute doses, acts as a great album, the first disc concentrates on manic, the second disc more brittle material.Bad Seeds to pulls a very simple musical compositions through the irresistible by suction with a great sense of style in addition to a hefty portion madness.17 songs set up to breath-taking amount of stunning performances, including one of the most impressive is the "Abattoir Blues" the title track. Double-album ends, handsomely desolate message, but otherwise uplifting a massive "O Children". [First added to this chart: 06/17/2012]

This band can be say the same words as in the Swedish The Soundtrack of Our Lives, group. Both of these are during the 2000s have done a great, could be called, "neo classic rock". Fleet Foxes focus for career in the 1960s re-creation of melodies. Album of songs names recall, the 1960s: "Tiger Mountain Peasant Song," "Quiet Houses", "Your Protector" and "Blue Ridge Mountains." The cover art is a detail of the 1559 painting Netherlandish Proverbs by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. It is nicer, if you own the album on vinyl. [First added to this chart: 06/17/2012]

"Felt Mountain" is like a medley forgotten missed James Bond-pearls and Ennio Morricone pastiche, has not attempted to cover up. When I listened to the album for the first time so amazed:"Lovely Head" - where Alison Goldfrapp displays her whistling techniques (better than mine, I can't even whistle!). The album closes with "Horse Tears," the longest song on the album at just over five minutes. This song boasts an array of instruments from the viola, strings, violin, double bass and cello. The vocal arrangement is gorgeous because it's so bizarre and evocative. I don't want to catorgorise "Felt Mountain" into a particular musical style, but I suppose it could be best described as 'chill out' music. Listening to this album, cauSING paranoid mood - in a positive way! [First added to this chart: 06/17/2012]

On this album, it is clear kinship with "Felt Mountain", as "retro-Bacharach"...'blue on blue, heartache on heartache'
Röyksopp (Norwegian pronunciation: [??ø?ks?p]) popularized in 1970s kind of popular music and ambient to the 2000s.Royksopp disco beat close to nature has charmed everyone who has operated a disc. Like - Air - had a machine music sound as airy beautiful.I may not like listening to the single tracks "Eple" and "Poor Leno ", but as part of the album..hmm it's OK. I was even surprised at myself that I liked (I like) on this album.
