Conceptual extension - Part 6, The 2000s: "Music from the global village"
2000s (2000-09) hasn't been passed very long time.For some (certainly part of BEA's members), year 2000 (yeah, -Kid A- year!), may sound like nostalgia.I understand that some people want to "keep up with the spirit" and listen to the music of their time.It's not my way to work. I am too, focusing on the history of a person. Therefore, I can't immediately find the result of the new currents. I can see only aftermath.
Of the decade, the name "Music from the Global Village" has two meanings. First of all, information technology has reduced the world (such as this site). Second, the source of many a musical work can be just as well classical music, free jazz to world music.In addition, music is available .. everywhere! Listening to music requires / to develop media literacy. This allows pearls to find!
My list consists only the pearls. This 2000s profile, a tribute to the other, The Previous Charts.
Yes, I'm, old music lover. I also like the new stuff. The new must have something recognizable, but something - a personal touch.

I am writing this text, close to where I live, organized the festival called "Tangomarkkinat" / Tango Festival. They are mainly public festival. There will also be selected so-called "Tango Royal '(competition). I am not tango music lover (in addition to Finland, with it in a sharp conservative), but the old tango champion Olavi Virta (1915-72), deserves respect.Very interesting is Jukka Perko & Hurmio Orchestra Music of Olavi Virta (2000) is the name of Olavi Virta in the form of jazz. I heard Gotan Project for the first time when it appeared brilliant television program "Jools Holland Show.""La Revancha del Tango" by Franco-Argentine outfit Gotan Project takes tango away from the ballroom. Their version of Zappa's "Chunga's Revenge" is a perfectly simple, as well Gato Barbieri's "Last Tango in Paris", but most important song is "Triptico".
Machine rhythm as much restrained, at least not in my ear, heavily invested in that interfere with acoustic instruments mixed. This "helped" me find the "New Tango". [First added to this chart: 06/17/2012]

I think I was almost asleep when I first heard music from the album "Virgin Suicides". Late one autumn evening in 2001 I listened to a radio program called "Avaruusromua" / SpaceJunk (whose music consists of ambient, classical music, and philosophical speech, spokesman was Jukka Mikkola). Some ambient music lover wanted it to play in the program. Talk also turned to film (Sofia Coppola). I had a really earnest mind at ease, when the album was borne ears with music. "Virgin Suicides" acts without a movie. But it is also an important part of the film.

The French duo combined on this album, the 70's progressive pop (Pink Floyd) unrealized dreams, Serge Gainsbourg and digital futurism. The music is beautiful and strange. Album, every song is a work of art thought of separately, as the episode of the film, of a kind can only be seen in a dream. Almost the entire album at the music flowing forward in a major river ways, and yet the songs are full of events."The Vagabond" (featuring mr. Beck Hansen) begins with "western-month-spiritual" theme of transforming itself into a harmonica, as soon as atmospheric pensive folk music."10 000 Hz Legend" consists of the actual melodies in addition to the numerous and lengthy intro of the bridges that carry the listener to the next landscape. And "Don't Be Light" is a real guitar buzzing a hit!
