Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Based on your other charts you have a diverse and wonderful taste in music. Just because your personal greatest album list contains ‘some’ of the current Top 100 should be neither a surprise nor a problem.
It’s a great list.

Cool chart ~ your choices pretty much coincide with the majority views on this site - which is fine and for the majority of charts, not unexpected (pure maths in that statement!).
In terms of rating charts, I prefer those that are a bit more diverse (by nationality, by artist, by hemisphere) and reveal something different & unique ~ something that might lead me to discover something new & exciting.

As I've said before, the prime point of this site (I thought by the give-away of the site title!) is to establish what are the greatest albums of all time. Therefore everyone's greatest list should contain their favourite albums, which I would expect to contain a fair percentage of those albums in the overall chart. The 'clever', 'interesting' and sadly pretentious picks can be reserved for custom charts (I know that will mean that far fewer people will look at them, but that's the way it is). So I'm completely with Larcx13 on this!

Youve got Cunninlynguists up there which I find awesome! Deltron 3030 is far from being this site's favorite lol. They clearly must have only seen your top 10 to write the garbage comments they wrote lol.
