"One of my favourites of the era. The band had 4 great musicians, especially in Mark Laff and Derwood Andrews and combined with the solid writing skills of James/Idol made a formidable band. Highly underrated unfortunately, probably due to Idol's looks and the teeny bopper appeal. Kiss me Deadly i..."  [+]  Reply

"Dog and Butterfly along with Little Queen really built Heart's reputation as a world class hard rock band, and there are many who think it's Heart's strongest album. This album was somewhat of a concept album back when albums had two sides, as the first side (Dog) contains the harder upbeat tunes..."  [+]  Reply

"To The Limit is a looser collection of songs than her 2 previous albums (Joan Armatrading & Show Some Emotion). Wishing, You Rope You Tie Me, Barefoot & Pregnant & Bottom To The Top are all brilliant but Baby I and The Letter are top notch Armatrading songs that are the cream on the top here."  Reply

"Some say this is the best album Springsteen never made. It's interesting it is full of his influence. This might have been the direction Bruce went if he wasn't bitter over all the legal troubles. That said, this is still a really good album on it's own merits."  Reply

"Ok we were all shocked in 1978 that Ace Frehley could put out an entire album's worth of material by himself...that it was this good is doubly shocking. Obviously he was holding out on KISS. "Rip It Out" should have been on a KISS record...and probably also "Speedin" Back To My Baby" and "Snowbli..."  [+]  Reply

"One of the better 'latter day' Kinks albums. Ray Davies' songwriting is as strong as ever, and I do suspect that if this album was released during the band's classic period, misfits, just might be looked upon as one of their best albums. Very good."  Reply
