"The first half is much stronger than the second half. This album, unlike his debut, has much stronger Brit-Pop influences. I am surprised to hear the song "Grace" on this album as I have heard it many times before, but I didn't know it was from this album. I wonder if it would have been a hit if ..."  [+]  Reply

"It's funny: Canadian artists usually hone their craft in Canada, unknown to the big market south of the border. They usually peak right before going stateside, and then release a huge album that catches fire in the charts. Funny thing, it's not usually their best. (See Barenaked Ladies - Gordon i..."  [+]  Reply

"I suppose that with a compilation like this you'll get some unnecessary tracks, such as sitting through 3 takes of "Communication Breakdown", but you should come to this looking for those brief moments where your ear is surprised. Plenty of them to be found here, plus you get "Traveling Riverside..."  [+]  Reply

"Not the best album ever, but better than a lot of the stuff in this genre that's out there. The lesson I learned from this is that every 1 word Goo Goo Dolls song is better than all the multiple word ones. Bizarre, but true."  Reply

"After 2 run of the mill 90's alternative grunge albums, Neon Ballroom follows with and attempt to branch out. The album is uneven with melodic pop songs intermixed with rehashed grunge songs. I prefer the direction Silverchair is heading on songs like Emotion Sickness, Steam WIll Rise, Miss You L..."  [+]  Reply

"Another great summary and I 100 percent agree with it. I deliberated long and hard whether to include 'Chiastic Slide' or the equally brilliant 'Incunabula' in my chart. I eventually decided on the latter but tomorrow this could change."  Reply
