How can a concept double album that is personal (for Roger Waters), artistic as heck, and immensely popular for over 30 years not be #1!! My desert island record for all those reasons. [First added to this chart: 02/07/2014]

A close 2nd. All over the place musically. As the band was disintergrating, they made the best music of their careers. (My 1st two albums are almost devoid of any cover artwork. Further proof that the music is that good) [First added to this chart: 02/07/2014]

When an album is both brilliant for it's minimalism and excess at the same time, it's bound to be up at the top. RIP Lou, Sterling, and Nico

The perfect Sunday morning record. Great songs for people 8 years old and 80 (and the non-cynical crowd in-between)

A personal favorite, one that changed my life. When this album came out, music was formulaic and not too dangerous. You can't say the same about this one. Thank you boys.

I know it's hip to not like this album but so many great songs. The ones that never made it to radio are the most powerful of the bunch-proof of a great album.

Most would label this "simple" because it's just Bob and his acoustic. But it also has his attitude, his words, and his rebelness. Has it been over 50 years since this came out? Definition of timeless.

Bluesy rock at its finest. The best album from the best band. Each song has a rhythm that could only be created by the Stones. You can almost smell the booze and whatever else when this one plays.

I'm showing my age on this one but when it came out, everyone had it (or so it seemed). Not sure why this doesn't get more credit as greatest 80's album (Yep I said it)

Could be in top 2 or 3 except for one song (I'll let you guess). Perfect combo of acoustic and heaviness. I know it gets played to the point of overkill but I still feel the passion and artistry every time I hear it.
