The Arctic Monkey's may not have revolutionized with their first album, but they perfected and brought back the upbeat, Brit rock that many bands to this day can still not replicate well. This album is a masterpiece, and I would be shocked if the Arctic Monkeys ever out do it, although in my mind, they came damn well close. [First added to this chart: 04/06/2015]

Here is a album I hope everyone can agree with it's placement. Jimi Hendrix was a fucking genius. While Stevie Ray Vaughn had more technical skill, Hendrix made up for with shear innovation and musical voice. This fact is no more prevalent than on his first studio album Are You Experienced? While my personal favorite Hendrix song is probably Little Wing off of the amazing Axis: Bold As Love, Experience is an overall more solid, and influential record. Every song on this record just radiates influence to ever guitarist and musician out there. Oh yeah, also has a little song called Purple Haze. [First added to this chart: 04/06/2015]

AM is the rock album that we needed in 2013. Every song on the record just fits. Artists nowadays get caught up in making a song radio friendly, and while AM certainly has it's songs that scream single (Do I Wanna Know?, R U Mine?) nothing seems out of place. With the exception of One For the Road and I Want It All, every song is phenomenal and deserves a listen. AM tells me that there is hope for the future of rock and roll, a statement that proves harder to say every day. [First added to this chart: 04/06/2015]

How could I include Hunky Dory without mentioning Ziggy. The two classics. Ziggy is an icon for a reason. This album is completely sound and fantastic all the way through. [First added to this chart: 04/13/2016]

The Smiths' underrated classic. Meat is Murder is almost as successful of an album as The Queen Is Dead in my mind. This is the most consistent, and approachable group of songs Johnny Marr and Morrissey ever released. Standouts are Headmaster's Ritual and Nowhere Fast. The single flaw in this near perfect album is the title track, while at times musically interesting, mostly sits in my mind as uncomfortable. Just a hair from perfection. The inspiration for one of the most important albums of all time. This album is a masterpiece. It is still as impressive and awe-inspiring to listen to the insane instrumentation and orchestral sound of this album in 2016 as it was in 1966. Like many albums on this list, the album has a clear tone and sound that it holds throughout the album. While the album does not vary in sound or style much, consistency is certainly something to be praised. [First added to this chart: 11/15/2016]

Tame Impala is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands, and their 3rd outing is already a departure from their traditional sound, and a welcome on at that. Every track blends together to create a more electronic tone than previous efforts. While I think Lonerism is has higher highs than this album, every track is solid. I look forward to future outings from Tame Impala. [First added to this chart: 10/10/2017]

This is a bit of a modern pick unlike the rest of what is present on this list, but it rightfully deserves it in my heart. Channel Orange is not a perfect album, but it is damn near close. Frank Ocean gave us in 2012 one of the most original concept albums of the new millennium. He weaves a narrative about the first time he fell in love through R&B, soul, jazz, and psychedelic sounds. The album is both jazzy and trippy. Frank Ocean is not just a great song writer, but an outstanding singer and performer. The stand out track on this album (which should have been the final track instead of Forrest Gump, while still a good track) is Bad Religion. This track is beautiful and haunting while giving an interesting message. [First added to this chart: 07/13/2016]

The Smiths are one of my favorite bands of all time, and The Smiths' debut record is a fantastic effort. It is many people's favorite record from the band, and while I don't think it reaches the heights of the Queen is Dead and the near perfection of Meat is Murder, it is a stunning record that include some of my all time favorite tracks like "This Charming Man" and "Still Ill." This album could rise and fall with time. Radiohead's newest work proves both to introduce a new, symphonic sound that is both different that their previous work, and also a natural progression for their ever evolving sound. The only word to describe this work is beautiful. This album will make you feel and cry more than any album I have ever listened to; a true work of art. While I am not deeply in love with every track as I am with albums like Kid A, this album's high points more than make up for this. All I can say is more A Moon Shaped Pool in the future, and less King of Limbs please! [First added to this chart: 11/15/2016]

bad logic: "AM's Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not is the best album of the 00's, period." yet you have a couple 00's albums ranked higher....
