Kid A is a record that is hard to explain. It is beautiful, terrifying, calming psychedelic, and robotic. It is kaleidoscopic. Kid A is one of the most important records released in the 2000s. After the commercial and critical hit OK Computer, everyone expected Radiohead's follow up to be OK Comupter 2, but instead, Radiohead decided to blow everyone's expectations out of the water. The production on Kid A is still something that surprises, and has never been replicated today. The National Anthem excites and scares, while tracks like How To Disappear Completely will make you cry. Kid A rebels and revolutionizes. [First added to this chart: 11/15/2016]

This Radiohead entry is probably controversial. Kid A's darker and jazzier brother. This album is not perfect. OK Computer could be argued as a perfect album, but Amnesiac is certainly flawed (Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors). This album has such a unique sound. It takes the electronic rock sound explored in Kid A and incorporated jazz and IDM. It is just too weird, unique, and brilliant to be ignored. While albums like OK Computer and The Bends stay more consistent throughout maybe than Amnesiac does, the sounds incorporated in this album are too interesting to keep me away. The best tracks that show this uniqueness are Pyramid Song, Knives Out, and Life in a Glasshouse. [First added to this chart: 11/15/2016]

I have had an interesting relationship with this record. Originally In Rainbows was the album that led me into listening to the entire Radiohead discography, but for a long time after I was down on it. I felt it dragged and was a bit boring. I feel this way no longer. In Rainbows is a short, sweet and near perfect album. Tracks like All I Need and Nude are some of the best in Radiohead's incredibility diverse discography. There is no more beautifully heartbreaking record I have ever heard of than In Rainbows. While I still feel it could use a bit more exciting tracks like Bodysnatchers and Jigsaw Falling into Place, the album is still stellar. [First added to this chart: 10/10/2017]

The Strokes' freshman classic Is This It? is one of the greatest albums I have listened too. Period. This album both sounds so modern and sleek, but so classic and nostalgic. That is actually the perfect word to describe Is This It; nostalgic. Even the first time I listened to this record I felt a nostalgic vibe. The Stokes were an indie band both 15 years ahead of their time, and a product of the 70s. Outstanding. [First added to this chart: 02/08/2016]

Vampire Weekend is a band I have been aware about for a long time but never took the time to sit down and listen to. Now I put them up with The Strokes and the Arctic Monkeys as one of the greatest rock bands of the new millennium. I still believe that their debut album is their crowning master piece. This album posses such a New England chilled out, classical rock vibe. The New England influence speaks to me in particular as I have lived in that region all my life. Simply great. The Arctic Monkey's may not have revolutionized with their first album, but they perfected and brought back the upbeat, Brit rock that many bands to this day can still not replicate well. This album is a masterpiece, and I would be shocked if the Arctic Monkeys ever out do it, although in my mind, they came damn well close. [First added to this chart: 04/06/2015]

I miss the old Kanye! While it is close, Late Registration I feel is Kanye's best work. It is long, however pretty much every track works. The skits, as usual for this period of Kanye's music, are hilarious. This album marks Kanye's turn in my opinion of his more grandiose and orchestral sound, and it's one that works very well on this album with tracks like Touch the Sky and Diamond from Sierra Leone. More than anything, Late Registration is fun. I like fun, and so should you!

The College Dropout is also fun, probably even more fun than Late Registration. In some respects this album outshines it's predecessor. However I feel it has both higher highs and lower lows, which is why I place it just under Late Registration. Kanye is funny as hell on this album and comes of as an endearing and likeable individual. Oh how the times has changed. Kanye has very much moved away from the sound established on this record, but he really brought back the idea of old 60s and 70s soul beats as background to rap music. I will always love tracks like All Falls Down and Slow Jamz. And I could never forget Jesus Walks. Pink polo Kanye is best Kanye.

This might be a bit of a personal choice... Okay a lot of a personal choice but hear me out. As a guitarist and singer there is almost no one who has been more influential to me that John Mayer. Continuum is his masterpiece. While not ever song on the album is a winner, every song is sexy as hell. I mean it when I say John Mayer carries a very sexy vibe when he is with his signature Fender Stratocaster. Slow Dancing in a Burning room is a legitimately fantastic song. Up their with the greats in terms of blues. While I wouldn't call this the best record of all time, I would it is my one of my favorites as a musician [First added to this chart: 04/06/2015]

bad logic: "AM's Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not is the best album of the 00's, period." yet you have a couple 00's albums ranked higher....
