Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 63.7/100, a mean average of 63.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 63.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 20.2.

Fans were angered by this album at first, and for good reason, this album was about..... having a good time???? Where's my sad emo music!!! I personally enjoyed the departure, I mean they couldn't have done much more after perfect 2000's rock with their last album so why not try something different. It's great to have a high positive energy album from MCR honestly, this whole album is an adrenaline rush, especially the closer Vampire Money
Worse than their 3 previous albums, there are still some good songs in here. Pretty inconsistent though. 6/10.
I´m not a huge fan of this album, but I won´t say it was a waste of time to listen to it. I did find some good tracks, like ¨Bulletproof Heart¨, ¨SCARECROW¨ and Vampire Money. I recommend listening to those and ¨Na Na Na¨, ¨SING¨, and maybe ¨Planetary (GO!)¨. Do I recommend listening to the album? I guess if you are a fan of the band, or if you are just looking for some pop punk/alternative rock-type music.
Not the best in their discography, but it's so much fun to listen to them rock out on this album.
Not up there with The Black Parade for me, but I still love this album. So many driven songs that fit with the dystopian, us-against-the-world theme of the album.
A surprisingly great album - tight songwriting, proficient instrumentation, and a unique concept.
@pearljammer13: I'm answering late, but someone should tell you this.
"To be perfectly honest I've only heard the singles from this" - So, basically, you don't have the right to put on a rating.
"The names of some of the songs makes me laugh." - Well that's because you are an idiot. I guess you are talking about "The Only Hope For Me Is You", "Bulletproof Heart" etc. If you knew something about this album or about MCR, you would know that this is not some kind of "Emo-music-for-scene-kids",= but part of a story, this album was also released as a comic book. But no, you're just so sure that MCR is a shit.
I like some of the songs. The album isn't my cup of tea though. I can sort of dig it.
I can't understand why do they get so much hate here. They're great!
gotta ignore the fact that this is a my chemical romance album and just accept it for what it is: a shit load of fun. they've turned their vintage emo/pop-punk sound on it's head and opted for a far more basic rock and synth-pop sound that is surprisingly pulled-off well, chuck it a listen and you might be surprised! great album!
best songs: nanananana (nananananana), bulletproof heart, summertime, kids from yesterday
