Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 82.4/100, a mean average of 81.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 82.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.5.

Grungey, garage rock sound. Distorted guitar riffs for days. But I was disappointed to my surprise as I thought I would like this. The Lung is good though.
A solid record with a unique guitar style that is thoroughly enjoyable to listen to throughout. This album definitely shows a lot of potential with some outstanding highlights and a high level of consistency. Their sort of fuzz sound is really appealing to me and it makes the music sound very heavy. I love that heavier and grittier side of music and so it makes me excited to look into more of this groups discography. Overall, this is full of quality across every song and it is a very enjoyable listen.
Very good and entertaining album with slightly stronger first half than the second with 3 first tracks being absolutely killer. I like how it mixes classic-sounding heavy riffs (in style of Black Sabbath) with more modern noisy sound similar to Psychocandy, but fast-paced. Definitely influential record that standa the test of time.
Solid record
Heavy, passionate and devastatingly beautiful. The Lung is my favorite.
excellent record and influential on future shoegaze acts, only 3 members and look at the sound !!!
As distorções e a variação do volume são insanos! Excelente!
I hear the influence on some of my favourite bands but I just can't seem to love this. It's good but maybe a little too sloppy for me, I really wanted to love this album. I don't feel the production is great, I am guessing this was the way the album was meant to be but...
Sludgefeast is amazing song!!!
Different, early grunge sounds. Rating (73.89)
They were definitely ahead of their time with this one. Everything about this album is great.
