Incredibly dark and dense. Vulnicura is a taxing but rewarding listen. It does start to fall apart a little bit with the last half, but it never flat out does.

Truly gorgeous album! I need to listen to it more then I have. Love Bjork and this is pretty flawless.

GENIAL
Quite possibly the best front-to-back album experience that you could get from a Bjork album, every song just fits in perfectly and provides a truly heartbreaking and personal narrative that I think has influenced artists like Mount Eerie, Sufjan Stevens, and Father John Misty.

Vespertine is my favourite Bjork album and this one comes closest to that deeper contemplative style that I connect with in her work.
I have to say that Vulnicura has made into my top 3 favorite records that Bjork has made. Right behind Medulla and Homogenic. For one, I love the contrast between the glorious string sections and these dark blobby beats. This contrast is shown to us from the album cover. Also even thought I haven't really "listen" to her lyrics, I do know that this record was about the breakup with her husband that she was with over a decade. Not only that, I could see this record being some form of an eulogy for the producer Mark Bell.
Heartbreaking and gorgeous. Björks best album since Vespertine.
