"This is a really good album with all the songs working really well together. An eclectic mix of songs and influences for the album but it is certainly one of his best."  Reply

"Years after its release, I have found what I initially considered to be merely a "good" album, is actually one of the best albums. The vibrant energy juxtaposed to the sometimes antithetical lyrics, the snarky teen angst, the clever wordplay. Every line in every song is worth repeating in your he..."  [+]  Reply

"Not quite as brilliant as, pieces of the sky, but, elite hotel, is still another lovely Emmylou Harris record. As always with Harris, there are some great songs including, together again, sweet dreams, and another beautiful Lennon-McCartney cover in, here, there and everywhere. Great stuff."  Reply

"All perfectly serviceable songs, no real lows, but the main problem with the album is that there isn’t a really brilliant song on here that blows your socks off. The closest to brilliance here would be the opener and the closer which are both great."  Reply

"This is the ultimate night time album. It helps you breathe deeply. At least for me it does. No other ambient work gives me a physical reaction like this one. Absolutely out of body experience."  Reply

"Absolutely MASSIVE post-rock album. Beautiful, ominous, and completely unforgettable soundscapes painted by God Is An Astronaut. This is hands down my favorite post-rock album, and potentially overall album of the 2000s. Unfortunately overlooked by some, but if you appreciate instrumental albums,..."  [+]  Reply

"Maybe it's because I was too excited for this and set the bar too high, but I sadly found it a bit underwhelming, it left something more to be desired. I fail to see how this comes even close to his best work. Still, there were some great moments, like the self-titled track."  Reply
