"The first in a series of which, fortunately, there appears to be no indication as yet that it's going to end. In retrospect though, this should have been just one volume, not three. Anyway, some great stuff here, and a little bit of rubbish too. The first two discs have some great stuff, the thir..."  [+]  Reply

"I want to love this. It was a great comeback story. It's just that there's nothing standout, too much synthesized sound, and it's pretty lightweight. Let's Get It On tries the same thing and hits the mark - stick to that."  Reply

"The best heavy metal album ever bar none. I don't care if large swathes were overlaid post gig. Exciter is an unstoppable opener and it just keeps going for the next 45 mins (or more if you have the extra tracks version). Top stuff."  Reply

"Great continuation from the Instituciones by Sui Generis - he finally manages to leave his folk roots behind, and embraces prog rock. Complex, yet easy to love. Garcia at his finest."  Reply

"One of Richard Hawley's best albums. Truelove's gutter, is an intimate record with moments of release making the music big and powerful. Some beautiful songs in, ashes on the fire, for your lover take some time, and, soldier on. Best of all though is, open up your door, quite majestic. A great re..."  [+]  Reply

"The slow burn buzz around this band continues to grow and with this album number 4 for good reason If you are enjoying this album check out their 2018 ‘Shadow on Everything’ release it’s just as good with that rich gothic vibe in spades"  Reply

"A really interesting, dark slow-core album by the singer of Slint. Just be aware, it stays slow and mellow the whole time, so don't be expecting Spiderland 2. It is still very good, but in a different way. 80/100 (Good)"  Reply

"A typical BOC record. Lots of variety but not as consistently good as some of their best work. But what's not to love about "Black Blade" and "Lips in the Hills?" The bluesy "Divine Wind" was a pretty cool stab at current events taking a shot at Ayatollah Khomeni and the then current hostage cris..."  [+]  Reply

"Oh my goodness, this album is amazing. It sounds so detached and distant, like floating on the edge of the universe. Yet there is something so beautiful and haunting about how mysterious and indifferent it feels to hear it. Appropriately titled "The Absent Universe". One of the greatest albums ev..."  [+]  Reply
