"Shame that the limits of vinyl meant there is a fade in/out between each of the 2 performances. It does diminish the natural progress of the music. Recording quality really poor, no better on CD than the original vinyl. Still def. worth buying"  Reply

"Classic Jim Steinman (the guy who wrote the songs for Meatloaf, Bonnie Tyler, etc) here. This whole album is full of that glorious, over-the-top bombast that is Steinman. There are some interludes, some filler, and a curiously out-of-place cover of The Doors' 20th Century Fox, but the high points..."  [+]  Reply

"As a life long music fan my all time favourite bands are some of the classics: Pixies, R.E.M, The Beatles, The Doors, Midnight Oil (I’m Aussie) and a bunch of down to earth lads from Glasgow Travis. Something about their albums and music that keeps drawing me back and back and back. Here we have ..."  [+]  Reply

"Rare acoustic set from The Dead. Some classic tracks mixed in with many I am less familiar with. This is quite a relaxing listen. If you’re looking for more acoustic Dead check out the 1st set of Dick’s Picks Volume 8. I found the set list more satisfying than this."  Reply

"This was the hidden gem of 2017 for me. This is his second album, which he somehow got Sturgill Simpson to produce. Maybe he wants to help another Kentucky boy make good. Or maybe, like me, he just loves this dude's voice. Favorite tracks: Whitehouse Road, Feathered Indians, Universal Sound"  Reply

"I personally don't find this album very engaging. While it sounds nice, and has some interesting song progressions, it really doesn't feel like the songs or the album as a whole go anywhere. Her belching vocals at times is really grading too, and while it doesn't happen often it still sounds anno..."  [+]  Reply
