"Great debut from a side project band. Shawn Smith is a fantastic vocalist. This is up there with a lot of the other albums of the early 90's. Reminds me a tad of Screaming Trees. "12 Memories is probably the darkest and least commercial album Travis have released . Even the singles tend to seek new grounds for the band, and they are not as immediately catchy as the big hits from the previous two albums. "Not as well known as "Acabou Chorare", from the previous year, but it's pretty similar _ so, it's another wonderful record from this hippie commune that mixed samba and hard rock, here still at their peak. Excellent musicianship with a poetic worldview. Very unique." Reply
