The song title "The Fuzz" doesn't refer to cops or anything else you might think of...but rather to the fuzz pedal he puts on his vibraphone on that particular track, a sound you sort of have to decide whether you like or not. Reminds me of Chick Corea with fuzz and distortion on his Rhodes with Miles...except that these are vibes, it's fairly crazy. A very early 70s thing to do, and the whole album is a fun, funky time machine back to that era.

Excellent soul/jazz/pop album. Great songs, wonderful performances, make this a superb record. A great late night album.
