Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 61.6/100, a mean average of 55.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 55.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.4.

Although lacking rigor and originality, "Father Of 4" is the best solo album of Migos and the second best album of Migos in general (after "Culture"). We finally have confirmation, Offset is the best rapper of Migos. Although Quavo is the most loved, Offset's debut album is more interesting than "Quavo Huncho". In public and in private, Offset had the most difficult journey of all Migos. From prison to marriage and separation from Cardi B, he felt the intensity of the spotlight and the coldness of his absence. This turbulence came to define his style, he became the bluesman of trap music. Through this album Offset is really convincing. Offset is a real fighter, a real superhuman force that will move the Migos forward, I'm sure.
6/10
Well this is disappointing. Offset has been my favourite migo by a long way since the release of 'Without Warning' alongside Metro Boomin and 21 Savage. Here he presented as a capable rapper who could easily switch up his flow and stick to the mood of the track. On FATHER OF 4 you'll hear the same delivery over and over on all 16 tracks (another trap album that's way too long). The most variation you'll get is some kind of alternating between auto-tune and no auto-tune over a couple of tracks.
There's a few attempts here to tackle more serious topics but immediately afterwards you'll get a row of tracks about money, sex and (of course) Pateks. In the end it feels more like filling quotas of lyrical topics instead of Offset being in any way inspired to rap about these topics.
The production isn't bad but it's nothing to get excited about. None of the beats here are surprising to hear on an Offset project and there's just no risk factor or variation here. Unlike the psychedelic inspiration of Travis Scott's 'Astroworld' or the soulful element on 21 Savage's 'A Lot', there's nothing to make anything here stand out. Additionally the features here are similarly pedestrian with the exceptions of J Cole and CeeLo Green. J Cole's verse on 'How Did I Get Here' gives off Kendrick vibes and marks another guest spot better than anything you'll find on his own album.
There's also a pretty regrettable line on 'Underrated' which refers to getting "richer than the Jews". This comes less than 2 months after 21 Savage had to apologise for a similar lyrics. The stupidity of a line like this genuinely makes you wonder if this has only been put in for the controversy and the discussion it generates, something along the lines of all press is good press or whatever.
