Chilliwack's first self-titled release (there are two, back to back) is an exploratory one. The group formerly known as "The Collectors" deliver an album that still carries their Collectors sound, but features Bill Henderson on (most) lead vocal duties.
It's an interesting step for the group that would later become Canadian radio rock staples. Hints of their pop chops can be found here and there (Rain-O is the best example) but they clearly hadn't yet secured the Chilliwack sound.
Fans of Chilliwack and under-the-radar innovative rock should give this a spin! Those looking for more recognizable, pop-oriented rock ought to look at their latter-70's and early 80's releases.
