Top 100 Greatest Music Albums
by Antonio-Pedro

"God gave us music so that we, first and foremost, will be guided upward by it. All qualities are united in music: it can lift us up, it can be capricious, it can cheer us up and delight us, nay, with its soft, melancholy tunes, it can even break the resistance of the toughest character. Its main purpose, however, is to lead our thoughts upward, so that it elevates us, even deeply moves us. ... Music also provides pleasant entertainment and saves everyone who is interested in it from boredom. All humans who despise it should be considered mindless, animal-like creatures. Ever be this most glorious gift of God my companion on my life's journey, and I can consider myself fortunate to have come to love it. Let us sing out in eternal praise to God who is offering us this beautiful enjoyment.

- Nietzsche in 1858

This chart needs some work to blossom away, still need to end some notes from my diary, men at work in progress.

Love you all, Antonio Momonio <3

Truly one of a kind, I can't think of any kind of art similar to this, and I think it's quite beautiful. It's bittersweet, and sad, it takes you through a lot, and the end explores your inner fragility with such sadness it's fantastic. Rationally challenging, an emotional odyssey.

This album collects the most important singles from new order, which is a guaranteed trip into eris and beyond the echoes in your mind, and if this don't rock your socks like snakes on the neon dancefloor then you should see a doctor as soon as possible.

Detaching from your spaceship and floating out of space with a broken tape that disintegrates its core with the time, as you see yourself slowly fading into the universe, becoming a part of the enormous black that envolves you and I. Alzheimer slowly hitting you with the age, becoming only a warm shadow of yourself, and gently losing the substance inside your mind, alll the smiles and kisses, and tears, and empties and fulls. The disintegration loops is probably one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard, if not the most pretty sound that has circulated around my ears during my lifetime, it's more about a tragedy, a greek melancholic tragedy which begins to distillate its liquid with time, revealing all the expenditure that eternity has over an apparent material infinite. The sadness of hearing this tape deteriorating is bigger than I would expect, it's not about a single 6 second loop, but more about a piece of art contain certain eccentric magic slowly dissapearing, like a memory, a whole bunch of memories saying goodbye to us, passing in the front of our eyes. For quite a long time, mainly this year (2017) I have often doubted myself in relation if I could still appreciate music by feeling, by the pure escapism and/or introspection atmosphere the album brought to my ears, and for weeks and months, I got worried about my inner state, my inner spectrum, could I still feel and touch all the palpable states of music? Could music not be delivering all the emotional rainbow and desert it should? what made me so stressed I could't look further than some quick gasp at notes? Listening to DlP 1.1 at the center of my room, with my eyes closed brought back some good memories of when I used to connect in such a personal way with music it made me want to cry of joy, I like to attribute this achievement mainly because the repetition of these brass loops, left me alone focusing on the slowly decaying state of the song, and whist alone, I found my mind in touch with myself, flirting and drowning in one spiritual state of bliss, and pure melancholia, a melancholia that hugs you with a warm blanket and puts you to sleep like an angel. I actually decided to roll the whole album for a long shot listen tonight and relistening to everything while dawn moved its last clouds and revealed my starry night breathing life and every single aspect that surrounded my own existence slowly hitting me from the inside of my own ears and transforming every little molecule of memory that exists inside of me into a poll of bittersweet tears, and as the live versions came down in the end, reminding us of all what happened when the album was meant to come out to breath in, it made share numerous tears with eyes closed, there is so much beautitude out there, And besides the 9/11 backstory which basinski has revealed to us, I wouldn't guess and even thought about it, it surely has certain melancholia of loss, the degradation of screaming from the inside to not be forgotten slowly being vanished for time, oh time, what have we become. but what remains is the sound of something human, something bright, charming and once had a human soul behind it, slowly fading into emptiness. Who would guess that I would've been writting about my profound sadness in a 6 second loop lasting for an entire hour incinerate itself? The universe is a giant pit of beauty. Good night Universe. Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 1% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 92.9/100, a mean average of 93.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 93.3/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 7.8.

Very nice. I like the added info under each choice as well. Explanations and information referring to the choice and the reason picked helps the reader a lot. I've done a few, buy not all. Very sad that that the number one album, "Eureka," can't be found in most places, or anywhere else to purchase or listen, except on youtube.
