Top 80 Music Albums of 2014 by

For 2014, i'm tightening my minimum track-average rating from 61.67 to an even 64. The only allowable exceptions are: 1) those with a strong whole-album concept (where the whole is stronger than the sum of the parts), 2) albums JUST under 64-track avg that i believe i'll like more (and subsequently re-rate up) over time, and 3) for sentimental favorites.
I'm including brief synposes of albums here and will expand upon them per album once 2014 is over.

I wasn't familiar with Freeway going into hearing this EP, but I was (and am) definitely a fan of Girl Talk. I can hear his influence the most on the middle section of this EP. Freeway's flow also reminds me of Girl Talk's mashups rekindling an ease and purposefulness of rhyme. The two parties meld well on this EP, although there are mild strains which indicate it might've been better not to test LP's waters. [First added to this chart: 04/21/2014]
