WELP, MY CHART GOT CHART OF THE DAY AND IT'S OUTDATED AS HELL (AS EXPECTED OF ME). GONNA TRY TO DO SOME BASIC UPDATES AND THE REST WILL BE 'HOPE YOU ENJOY MY CHART'.

It's true. This is a quite cliché chart, but also includes some 'not-so-known' albums that I love.

I have rated this albums based in:
-Number of great songs
-The highs and lows of the album (solid or not)
-The musical quality, ambient and lyricism
-Personal taste and ability to identify myself with the music

Chart updated: 05/19/2017 09:15 (Created: 05/29/2014 15:12). Chart size: 100 albums.

Carrie & LowellUnited States Sufjan Stevens
"I should have known better
Nothing can be changed
The past is still the past
The bridge to nowhere
I should have wrote a letter
Explaining what I feel, that empty feeling"

Favourite songs: Should Have Know Better, The Only Thing, Fourth of July

I feel that I need to write something special here for Carrie & Lowell. This is the only album of a bit more than 700 (at this moment) that I have rated 100/100. First time I heard this album I got literally obsessed with it. I had never heard before an album that had such a stunningly beautiful lyricism and at the same time it was so profoundly painful and deep. You can feel Sufjan's soul in every track, every ounce of pain he felt after he lost his mother. But at the same time it feels so relaxing that each songs haunts you in a spiral of bittersweet feelings that is almost magical. It's even incredibly solid, I can't find a weak song here. Sure there's some standouts, but every track has something special. To me this is the pinnacle of popular music. It's amazing how much can do just and artist, his guitar and not much more.

Am I really scared of passing away

With the holy ghost till it drown in the blood of Jesus
I wrote some raps that make sure that my lifeline
Rake in the cent of a reaper, ensuring that my allegiance
With the other side may come soon
And if I'm doomed, may the wound
Help me mother be blessed for many moons

I somewhat disagree with your 2000s+ albums selection.
85/100 for your albums selection before 2000.
65/100 for your 2000s+ albums selection.

Overall, this is a pretty good list.
