Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by Jhef9312 (2020)
Reworked, but still a work in progress.
Compilations are ok, only from the pre-LP era, and if they could have reasonably been an LP. Robert Johnson, prime examples.
Thanks for looking, hope you enjoy.

Top 100 Greatest Music Albums ratings

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a mean average rating of 83.0/100. The trimmed mean (excluding outliers) is 83.6/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 12.3.

Nice stuff! Would be great to see some written notes on your favourites of these!
You are an old soul. I like it!
Loads of Dylan high up on this list and why not? I can also recommend the 1964 official bootleg album if you've not already checked this out.
Well. I'm glad SOMEBODY here knows that Blue isn't Joni Mitchell's only album, or even best. Miles of Aisles n Court and Spark are indeed her best ones. After Summer Lawns, that is. But at least you're not one of these people who just HEARD that something is the best and just follow the crowd. Heh heh
Interesting chart, lots of Dylan.
You got some range! Keep it up!
Very nice chart, maybe a little too much American orientated. But good!
Nice chart! I appreciate the love for Blonde on Blonde and Songs in the Key of Life. I look forward to seeing how your re-ratings affect your rankings!
You´ve got the blues!
Cool Chart. A lot of great albums from Garth Brooks to Wu Tang.
