Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Oh yes, because of course we all hold our breath and wait for our charts to be lauded by Mr. Lancaster... who is actually Axl Rose in disguise. Anyway, enough. Fascinating list - almost too eclectic for it's own good (Oasis AND G!YBE in the Top 30..!), nice to see Bob Mould getting some love too. And NEVER heard of your No.1... must investigate...

I already rated this chart back in February but I'll leave a comment since it's chart of the day.
I find this chart really fascinating; for better or for worse you have a keen musical aesthetic that consistent throughout, though I wouldn't say sonically it's the most varied thing in the world the way the albums compliment each other gives your chart a distinct personality. Ordinarily I'd give recommendations of underrepresented genres but I'll recommend instead albums that I think might fit in nicely with your picks:
The Fall - This Nations Saving Grace
Minutemen - Double Nickels On The Dime
Young Marble Giants - Colossal Youth
Modest Mouse - This Is A Long Drive ...
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever To Tell (Edited)

Very personal chart and, although I don't enjoy (or don't know) most of the top 10, I was pleased to see The Courage of Others and the Archive album near the end. Seems you dig deep and that's great, maybe some comments can help to raise your rating. (Edited)

Absolutely love this chart! Agree with Jim, nice to see Bob Mould getting some attention. His solo stuff is good as well. I have Workbook in my top 50. Some other great stuff as well though. Could happily listen to the lot in one sitting. Nice one.

Very nice chart, love VS in the top 10, also Firstborn is Dead and both Joy Division albums. And it's not just well-known stuff, there are albums I haven't even heard of. Pretty cool chart. (Edited)
