Top 83 Greatest Music Albums ratings
Average Rating = (n ÷ (n + m)) × av + (m ÷ (n + m)) × AVwhere:
av = trimmed mean average rating an item has currently received.
n = number of ratings an item has currently received.
m = minimum number of ratings required for an item to appear in a 'top-rated' chart (currently 10).
AV = the site mean average rating.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 83.9/100, a mean average of 80.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 83.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 15.7.

I love the 90s, and like most of your picks here (though I need to be in a good mood for Pulp). I'll slowly be expanding my chart, and "Phaedra" will pop up somewhere for sure, nice choice ! Check out NEU! ("NEU!'75") and Can ("Ege Bamyasi"), 2 great krautrock groups I think you'll enjoy. Obvious Joy Division is missing (especially with "Disintegration" already featuring on here).

Noticed we both have LFO in our charts, then some others as well. Love your chart as a whole especially the inclusion of Tangerine Dream. Will try to squeeze this in mine at some point in the future. Check out my top 10. There’s some stuff you may like.

As well as the cross over in this 50, also like seeing Spiritualized's album in there, and agree that Siamese Dream is Smashing Pumpkins' finest.
