“And in the end, The love you take, Is equal to the love you make.”
As far as rock music swan songs go, this might be the best there's ever been. From the iconic opening bass line of "Come Together" to the ambitious Side 2 medley to the solemnity-subverting "Her Majesty," the entire album is an unqualified triumph. The medley on Abbey Road always gives me goosebumps and gives me that a feeling of pure joy that no album ever since has. A true masterpiece and and of course a classic album! It definitely deserves it's praise! [First added to this chart: 12/14/2016]

"All the lonely people, Where do they all come from? All the lonely people, Where do they all belong?"
Revolver was Beatles first on-purpose masterpiece and the greatest rock album ever made, an album so far ahead of it's time, the world is still catching up with it 50 years later. The Beatles turned themselves inside out on 'Revolver,' exercising a creative freedom following their retirement from the road. They used the studio as their playground, turning the record's 14 songs into the sort of mind-expanding musical template that would influence artists for generations to come. This is where the Beatles jumped into a whole new future - where they truly became the tomorrow that never knows. Time has affirmed the enduring worth of Revolver. It now stands as Beatles greatest album, and for myself; the greatest album of all time. Revolver also got me into albums, so it has a very special place in my heart! "I read the news today, Oh boy. About a lucky man who made the grade..."
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the most important rock & roll album ever made, an unsurpassed adventure in concept, sound, songwriting, cover art and studio technology by the greatest rock & roll group of all time. Inspired by The Beach Boys's Pet Sounds , it's where the Beatles really exploit the studio as the instrument, forgoing live playing for sonic adventure. It is impossible to overstate its impact: from a contemporary Sixties perspective it was utterly mind-blowing and original. Looking back from a point when its sonic innovations have been integrated into the mainstream, it remains a colourful and wildly improbable masterpiece. And I guess that Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band's show will go on forever. [First added to this chart: 12/14/2016]

"Doesn't have a point of view, Knows not where he's going to, Isn't he a bit like you and me?"
The album that inspired Brian Wilson to make Pet Sounds. The Beatles responded to Beatlemania, Bob Dylan and pop music in general with their milestone sixth album. It inspired tons of artists.I have never experienced the thrill of listening to an album like Rubber Soul, and just singing along to all the beautiful harmonies! At the time it was the most out-there music they'd ever made, but also their warmest, friendliest and most emotionally direct. It was an accidental masterpiece! "Who knows how long I've loved you, You know I love you still, Will I wait a lonely lifetime, If you want me to, I will."
The White Album is a glorious mess, a schizophrenic work of 30 songs sprawled over two discs. Many were written on acoustic guitar while the band was in India. It’s amazing to contemplate that only four years prior, The Beatles’ spate of singles like “I Want to Hold Your Hand” and “Can’t Buy Me Love”. Now they were putting out tunes like “Helter Skelter”, “Happiness Is a Warm Gun” and “Yer Blues”. This album has it all, from genres like country to heavy metal. A true classic that takes a few listens to grasp. [First added to this chart: 12/14/2016]
