Top 56 Music Albums of the 2000s by manurock
So, as I said on my overall, I started listening to music at the 2000's so there were too many 2000's albums. Some have been deleted and they now find their place here, as well as other albums which didn't make it at the first place but I still like.
I find the 2000's a good decade to music as many british bands took the early Radiohead torch, both on the post-britpop side (i.e Coldplay) and on the alternative rock side (i.e Muse). Also, we have a prog rock revival plus prog metal maturing (i.e Steven Wilson and his acts), indie rock reaching the mainstream, and many etc's.
Comments from my top 100 are copy-pasted into here. I will try to comment the rest two, albeit briefly.
When you get to a decade chart I guess it's harder to reach to everyone, plus there are so many albums I have yet to listen that I am sure this isn't the best decade chart, but as I said it helps me save this albums and also understand this decade better so here they are. Enjoy! Any feedback is welcome.

Yeahhh maybe I have made this chart just to see this album #1. On my overall it is #2 behind Pink Floyd's DSOM and as much as I respect that band I sometimes think this should be my #1 overall too... anyway, back to my top 100 comment:
PLEASE listen to this album. You can see some Camel, Mike Oldfield and classical music influences but still this concept album is unique. Great vocals and instrumentation; piano, mellotron, violin and flute are more prominent than guitars. The first song is a long track which introduces you to the rest of the album and shows how well the different instruments get on together.
I remember when I watched them at Summer's End Festival in the UK. They were very nervous, still it was beautiful to hear these 10 people play their best songs, including nearly all of this album. After the show, I was able to talk with Phideaux Xavier and he was really nice with me. They weren't gonna make any profit from this concert, but they found the experience of playing in Europe fascinating. Nearly as fascinating as this concept album, which I agree with him, is his masterpiece. [First added to this chart: 08/09/2018]

Wonderful album all throughout by progressive rock/metal polish band Riverside. This is their most aggressive yet their most progressive and symphonic album. Duda's vocals have many registers and are all good, the piano and keyboards by Lapaj in this album are grandiouse, the guitar sounds as clean as always... and the composition is fantastic. If you are a music fan and you enjoy Porcucpine Tree, Opeth, Pink Floyd or even harder edge Muse then please give this album a listen, though this band has a sound of its own.
I still remember when I saw them live. The supporting artist was Sylvan and they played a nice concert, however when these guys got up the stage we realised that they were more than one step ahead. In this album, from the 20 minute title track to the rock ballad "Conceiving you", not only do we see the technical part, but we also enjoy the emotions and the atmosphere of this heavy album [First added to this chart: 08/09/2018]

This album introduced me to Muse and I still consider it to be their best. As I said with Riverside, none of their other albums is so aggressive and at the same time so progressive as this one. The keyboards are the strong point of this album (i.e new born, bliss, space dementia...) in comparison to the other albums and we can find Bellamy's falsetto voice and guitar riffs in a few songs too (i.e plug in baby, citizen erased, darkshines...). It's hard to choose the best tracks, all are worth listening to, and each one has something of its own to contribute to the album.

Steven Wilson's solo work and bands like PT and Blackfield are worth listening to. His best work is this album, in which you can find long but not boring progressive rock songs, with a few prog metal riffs. All songs have something different, unheard before, and the lyrics show the despair of a boy damaged by society. The last part of "Anesthesize" is the most beautiful music I have heard from the last 20 years

Wow, this is just on my top 20 overall, never thought this would be my fifth album from the 2000's! Back to my overall chart...
This album by italian composer and pianist Einaudi contains the song "Fly", which was a great soundtrack for the moving french film "the Untouchables". It is surprising, though, to find that Fly isn't the best track at all; this is "Primavera" which, like most of the rest, makes my mind leave my house and move to myself lying on a hammoc in the deep countryside in a cloudy but a shiny day. Beautiful classical music for all listeners. [First added to this chart: 08/09/2018]

After their promissing debut, Coldplay became even more famous with this alt. rock album which, to date, is my favourite by this band. The piano and Martin's voice, as well as the other instruments, convey a sense of loss and epicness. My favourites are "Politik" and "The Scientist". One of the great albums of the last decade, and miles away from their last two albums.

This is the second album I carefully listen from Bunbury and another album which has no weak track and gets a '90 average. What was said about Las Consecuencias can be said about this one which came just before; maybe a little more raw and less folky but that doesn't make it worse.

Can you make a good pop/rock album based on with piano and keyboards with no guitars? Keane answered "Yes" with this album, especially with songs like "Somewhere only we know" or "Bedshaped" and gave popularity to the Piano Rock genre. It may not be the most varied and complex album, but it has a sound of their own which is nice to my ears; that's more than most pop albums aimed at the general public. Their second album tries to progress on the same base, and is ok to listen, but doesn't have any anthems (except for the experimental "Atlantic") like this one has, while the third includes more instruments and has some catchy tracks.

This has been a pleasant surprise to me. Ignored in the mainstream, but not by musicians like "the stevens" Wilson and Hackett, this concept album blends progressive metal and arabic folk sounds in a unique way while telling a biblical story. I can understand why it took six years to be composed; the lyrics and music match very well in more than an hour experience which you will have to repeat to completely get into it.

Steven Wilson probably created Blackfield with israeli Aviv Geffen as an effort to make more accessible songs and ballads which couldn't go to Porcupine Tree. I must say that, despite it hasn't gathered too much attention, he was successful. If you are watching this chart and questioning where to start if you wanna start tasting prog rock, start over here. These three minute songs are pop-oriented but cared songs which instantly are liked.
Blackfield II is a little more consistent than Blackfield I and still has some catchy tunes like the Israeli protest song "End of the world", the lyrically interesting "Christenings" or the romantic "Miss U". [First added to this chart: 08/09/2018]
