Hardcore, Emo, Post-Hardcore by elo269megv

My favorites from this particular music scene. Mainly post-hardcore and its sub-genres. I was hesitant (and still am) of adding Rancid, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, & NOFX - but at one point I thought these bands were pretty hardcore so I included them. This doesn't include classic punk bands like Ramones or The Clash (although I'm considering The Sex Pistols), classic pop punk bands like The Undertones or Talking Heads, or new wave / post-punk bands like Television or Gang of Four (although I'm considering Unknown Pleasures to be the first emo record). This list is 50% what I LIKE most and 50% what I think is BEST or most defining. Fugazi and Unwound are favorites of mine from the genre. More to come - this will eventually be 100 entries.
