Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart is rated in the top 4% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 89.1/100, a mean average of 90.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.8/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 7.3.

This is a pretty chilled chart. I don't know a copy of artists so will check them out. Sigur Ros number 1 is a great choice and sets the tone. There is a smattering of heavy stuff to give a nice balance
It´s always nice to see Sigur Ros where it deserves to be. Nice. chart
I enjoyed taking the journey through your chart and respect where your own musical journey has taken you.
Nice mixed bag. Good to see some Devo in there. And DK's always get a thumbs up from me
interesting chart
Excellent albums need to add to my faves
I appreciate your sentiment in the description - I'd much rather a personal chart than someone trying to appeal to some false sense of "objectivity" in art, and as a result your chart is quite interesting. You're at a level to add 10 more, so I'd be interested to see what those were. You also could reach out a bit more into the last decade, since there have been a lot of great musical accomplishments recently. Overall, though, it's an excellent chart. "Heroes" as Bowie's best album is an interesting opinion, one I respect for sure (though don't personally agree with).
