Only one album per artist although some people show up as members of different bands (e.g. Clapton). I've tried to limit the number of best ofs but those included I feel are warranted for obvious reasons. I've named a representative song for each album.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Nice top 9. Understandably 70s focused. This is more a "best of" the 20th century. Good selection.
This list displays a pretty good variety. But it is like you stopped listening to music after the early '90s.

I probably would have picked "Heroin" for VU and Nico
Outstanding chart, with some very interesting and unique choices. I'm going to have to check out that Woodstock album.

I like how you got that Elvis Memphis Anthology. I looked over the tracklist and I haven't heard too many of them, but I really like the ones that I've heard like Gentle On My Mind and Kentucky Rain. And Suspicious Minds is in my all-time favorite Top 100 Greatest Singles. Even though a lot of people don't like it. Ha ha.

I guess the classics are classics for a reason but far too much of bias towards 60/70s rock with no real variety sorry.

What a great chart, apart from the jazz (which I have never been able to get into) there is so much good stuff on here - I can see that we are similar in age from the album selection!

Good chart, great to see k d lang's Shadowland. I may put that in my chart now. It's a great album and her voice is sublime. Somegreat choices here
